Maine Coon Kitten Health Warranty

This document outlines the terms and conditions of our health warranty for purebred Maine Coon kittens.

Coverage Period

  • This warranty is valid from the date of purchase until the kitten’s first birthday.

Warranty Terms

  1. This warranty applies exclusively to purebred Maine Coon kittens purchased from our cattery.
  2. In the event of a valid warranty claim, the buyer will receive a replacement kitten from a future litter.
  3. Transportation costs are the responsibility of the buyer:
    • This includes costs for returning the original kitten (if applicable)
    • Transportation costs for the replacement kitten
    • This policy applies even if the original kitten was delivered by the seller

Dental Health Policy

The warranty specifically excludes dental and gum issues unless the buyer can provide documented evidence of proper dental care, including:

  • Regular veterinary checkups
  • Professional dental cleanings as recommended by a veterinarian
  • Appropriate diet supporting dental health
  • Regular teeth brushing and oral care maintenance

Note: According to veterinary studies, approximately 50% - 80% of cats over the age of three develop some form of dental disease. For more information, see:

Making a Claim

To make a warranty claim, the buyer must:

  1. Notify the seller in writing within 24 hours of diagnosis
  2. Provide documentation from a licensed veterinarian
  3. Include detailed medical records and test results
  4. Submit proof of ongoing preventative care

Warranty Limitations

This warranty does not cover:

  1. Conditions caused by accident or injury
  2. Issues arising from improper care or nutrition
  3. Parasites (internal or external)
  4. Non-life-threatening conditions
  5. Dental issues without proof of proper care (as detailed above)

Additional Terms

  • This warranty is non-transferable
  • Replacement kittens are subject to availability
  • The seller reserves the right to have the kitten examined by a veterinarian of their choice
  • No cash refunds will be provided
